  1. In the beginning was the Word. 1 But that was not the Word which produced the Word. 2 For "the Word was with God." 3 The Lord is Wisdom; it was not therefore Wisdom that produced Wisdom; for "I was that" says He, "wherein He delighted." 4 Christ is truth; but "blessed," says He, "is the God of truth."
