14. Gebet nach der Kommunion.

Nachdem wir den kostbaren Leib und das kostbare Blut Christi genossen, lasset uns Dem Dank sagen, der uns gewürdigt hat, seine hl. Geheimnisse zu empfangen, und bitten, daß sie uns nicht zum Gerichte, sondern zum Heile werden, zum Wohl der Seele und des Leibes, zum Schütze der Frömmigkeit, zur Vergebung der Sünden, zum ewigen Leben. Lasset uns aufstehen! In der Gnade Christi wollen wir uns selbst Gott, dem einen ungebeugten Gott und seinem Christus schenken. Der Bischof sage Dank:

XIV. The Bidding Prayer After the Participation.

Now we have received the precious body and the precious blood of Christ, let us give thanks to Him who has thought us worthy to partake of these His holy¹ mysteries; and let us beseech Him that it may not be to us for condemnation, but for salvation, to the advantage of soul and body, to the preservation of piety, to the remission of sins, and to the life of the world to come. Let us arise, and by the grace of Christ let us dedicate ourselves to God, to the only unbegotten God, and to His Christ. And let the bishop give thanks:--
