Works Augustine of Hippo (354-430) Epistulae (CCEL) Letters of St. Augustin
Third Division.

Letter CXLVIII.

(a.d. 413.)

A Letter of Instructions (Commonitorium) to the Holy Brother Fortunatianus. 1

  1. Fortunatianus, Bishop of Sicqua, was one of the seven bishop selected to represent the Catholics in the Conference of Carthage with the Donatists in 411. He was probably a neighbour of the bishop who had regarded himself as aggrieved by the arguments with which Augustin confuted some extravagant speculations of his. ↩
