Also another Aurelius of Chullabi ¹ said: "The Apostle John has laid down in his epistle the following precept: If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: for he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.' ² How can such men be admitted without consideration into the house of God, who are forbidden to be admitted into our private house? Or how can we hold communion with them without the baptism of Christ, when, if we only so much as bid them God speed, we are partakers of their evil deeds?" ³

« Nous lisons dans l’épître de saint Jean: Si quelqu’un vient vers vous et ne fait pas profession de cette doctrine de Jésus-Christ, ne le recevez pas dans votre maison et ne le saluez pas. Car celui qui le salue participe à ses mauvaises actions (II Jean, X, 11). Comment donc peut-on pousser la témérité jusqu’à recevoir dans la maison de Dieu ceux à qui nous refuserions l’entrée de notre propre demeure? Ou bien comment pouvons-nous rester en communion avec ces hommes privés du baptême de l’Eglise, quand ce serait nous rendre participants de leurs mauvaises actions, s’il nous arrivait seulement de les saluer? »
