Du baptême contre les Donatistes

12.

12.

Lucianus of Rucuma 1 said: "It is written, And God saw the light that it was good, and God divided the light from the darkness.' 2 If light and darkness can agree, then can there be something in common between us and heretics. Therefore I give my judgment that heretics should be baptized." 3

  1. Rucuma was in ecclesiastical province of Zeugitana. This Lucianus is probably the same with the one mentioned in Cypr. Epp. lvii., lxx. ↩

  2. Gen. i. 4. ↩

  3. Conc. Carth. sec. 43. ↩
