P. 279 After writing these, they also subscribed the letters of peace which were presented to them by Peter and Irenæus, Presbyters of Athanasius, and by Ammonius a layman, who were passing that way, although Athanasius had sent no communication to them even by these persons.

An meinen seligsten Herrn, den Pabst Julius, Ursacius und Valens.

Weil wir, wie bekannt, früher Vieles und Arges u. s. w.¹

Meinem Herrn Bruder, dem Bischofe Athanasius, die Bischöfe Ursacius und Valens.

Es bot sich uns eine Gelegenheit dar durch den Bruder und Mitpriester u. s. w.²

Dieses schrieben sie, und unterzeichneten auch das friedfertige Schreiben, als des Athanasius Priester Petrus und Irenäus, und der Laie Ammonius zu ihnen kamen, obgleich er ihnen auch durch diese nicht geschrieben hatte.
